As part of Advent Conspiracy Tucson, two showings are planned on the weekend before Thanksgiving, November 22 & 23.
This 2007 film follows Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Gospel Choir on a cross-country mission to save Christmas from the Shopocalypse. It’s funny, educational, challenging, and thought provoking.
Catch a showing on Saturday, Nov. 22, at 7 pm at Mountain View Nazarene Church, 410 S. Pantano Rd, in East Tucson.
And have another chance to see it, Sunday, Nov. 23, at 4 pm in the parish hall of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 545 S. 5th Ave, just south of downtown. After the film on Sunday, you’re invited to stay for a vegetarian meal, for a suggested donation of $5 or whatever you can.
